Hi to all,
I'm Warren Porter, a resident of Indianapolis and long-time striper (mostly on Cumberland) and wiper (Monroe) fisherman. I just discovered your association while at the Boat-Sport & Travel Show in Feburary. I look forward to participating with the like-minded Striper fishermen in this group. I can hardly wait for all the ice to be gone so that I may get on the water this spring. What a beautiful day here in Indy today.
Cheers,
WJP

Hi Raisin'Striper,
I have a beige 1850 Ranger Reata with a white 150 Evinrude and I often use the Bimini Top. I drove out to Raccoon yesterday (Saturday, 07-Mar-2010) and fished for about an hour; parked at the Hollandsburg ramp and bank-fished from the old roadbed; at this time this is where the creek was turning to lake. I was trying for the white bass run, I thought it might be too early and it was. I fished with three rods; 1) worm on bottom, with a corkie float, 2) crappie minnow under a slip bobber, and 3) a little white jig. No bites, but a great day to get out. By-the-way, most of the lake is still ice covered, but that shouldn't last long. What is your rig?
tight lines,
Warren
